Violinist, Pedagogue, Co-Founder Global Impact Circle Inc.

Dr. Zeynep Alpan is a Turkish-American violinist, educator, and cultural producer whose work bridges performance, education, and cross-cultural collaboration. A Juilliard alumna with a doctorate from Stony Brook University, she began violin studies at age five as part of music therapy for speech delay—a transformative experience that shaped her belief in music’s power to heal and connect. Her performance career includes solo appearances at Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and the Kennedy Center, as well as a recent solo performance for the President of the Republic of Turkey in New York City.

As a New York Philharmonic Teaching Artist, Alpan partners with NYC schools and has collaborated with the Kennedy Center and PBS (WNET) on educational initiatives. She is also on faculty at Lincoln Center and holds the Karen and William Watt Youth Orchestra of St. Luke’s Symphony Conductor Chair.

In 2019, Alpan co-founded the Turkish-American Cultural Laboratory (TACL) with cellist Mark Prihodko, producing educational events and performances in Ankara and at Bilkent University to enhance cultural collaboration between American and Turkish artists and their communities.

Alpan’s work is supported by organizations that value artistic excellence and cultural exchange, including the American Turkish Society and the Turkish House. Her multifaceted career reflects a commitment to using music as a tool for education, healing, and cross-cultural understanding.
