Global Impact Musician Weekly Snapshot No.7
Global Impact Musician (GIM) had the honor of being selected to present at the Showcase 2026: Fostering Continuous Improvement and Organizational Excellence at University of Wisconsin–Madison on April 24, 2026.
GIM co-founder, Taya König-Tarasevich, shared GIM’s work with people from across the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

GIM’s core message was how music can become a platform for cross-cultural and cross-sector innovation. The poster drew interest from attendees in many different fields, from science and libraries to surgery and tech, campus services, and other areas of university life. Taya inspired attendees to reflect on their own work and its connection to society. “I had conversations about people’s values in their lives, as well as the meaning of their work in society,” Taya shared. “Those conversations left everyone feeling inspired.”
Several attendees were especially moved by the idea that, for some GIM students, our Educational Seminar taking place this July in partnership with UW-Madison will be their first time leaving their country and encountering a very different part of the world. Their questions opened a broader conversation about cross-cultural learning, mutual exchange, and the power of students from different backgrounds learning from one another.

For Taya, this event reaffirmed the importance of GIM’s mission. “Sharing the importance of our work with the public, and receiving so much positive feedback, kept reminding me just how meaningful and incredible our mission truly is.”
Taya’s message: “Meaningful change often begins with small, local actions. When you act locally but think globally, it makes a difference. Like a stone dropped in water, even one action can create ripples that travel far beyond where they began.
