MARC MIGÓ

Founder Fundació Vera Musica, Composer, Pianist

A Catalan composer whose academic training and compositional voice reflect both deep classical grounding and bold contemporary vision. A graduate of the Juilliard School and the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, he has studied under prominent mentors, such as Melinda Wagner and John Corigliano and garnered numerous awards for his orchestral and chamber works. His recent symphony Conspiranoia, premiered by Metamorphosen Berlin at the Berliner Philharmonie, exemplifies his ability to translate modern anxieties into compelling musical narratives.

Migó’s music combines structural clarity with thematic daring, drawing on historical forms while engaging with today’s cultural tensions. His work has been recognized by major institutions and performed by leading ensembles across Europe and the U.S., underscoring his growing influence in the contemporary classical field.

As a founder and artistic director of Vera Musica Foundation Marc aims to highlight the significance of Catalan fine arts traditions while fostering innovation by commissioning and supporting young artists both locally and internationally.
